Gold Country Regatta

The Gold Country Yacht Club will hold the 27th Annual "Go For The Gold" Gold Country Regatta on the weekend of June 7-8 at Scotts Flat Lake, 5 miles east of Nevada City, CA (just 45 minutes northeast of Sacramento on Highway 20).

Redwood Regatta

The Humboldt Yacht Club will hold its annual Redwood Regatta at Big Lagoon during the Labor Day weekend. Since the 1950’s HYC has hosted sailors from Northern California and beyond to a weekend of camping and sailboat racing in one of our area’s greatest sailing venues. Competition will be in one design (minimum 3 entrants), and several handicapped classes of dinghy’s and small keel boats. Race registration begins at 0800 Saturday followed by a skipper’s meeting at 1100. Racing begins with the first shape at 1200 on Saturday and 1100 on Sunday. We plan 2-3 races each day and will have an awards ceremony and trophy presentations after the last race on Sunday afternoon.

Camping is available without charge as space allows at the HYC camp on the east shore of Big Lagoon. Access is of Highway 101, 30 miles north of Eureka, CA and ¼ mile north of the Big Lagoon bridge.

The Humboldt Yacht Club is hosting a BBQ dinner at 1800 on Saturday evening, and a sailor’s breakfast at 0800 on Sunday morning.
